PANAMA,
YOURS TO EXPLORE
With Panama Explorer Club tours, prepare to immerse yourself
in a world quite like no other. Panama,
heralded as the path between the seas, has for long captivated
imaginations. Exploration, travel and trade along the myriad
of trails through the jungles of Panama date back to the time
of the Spanish Conquistadors and beyond, when these trails
were used for centuries as the primary travel routes by the
Indians who inhabited the land.
The volcanic countryside of Coclé is the ideal base for embarking
on a journey deep into Panama’s mysterious and steamy tropical
rainforests and countryside.
Panama’s rainforests are home to one of the world’s most diverse
population of birds (there are more species of birds in the
Coclé province than in all of the continental USA and Canada
combined).
Three different Indian tribes inhabit the isthmus the Emberá
and Kuna tribes in the eastern part of the country and the
Ngobe Bugle tribe to the west.
Finally, you must not miss the Panama Canal, called the eighth
wonder of the world. This man made waterway is surrounded
by protected jungles and watersheds guaranteed to take your
breath away.
